Who uses this app
Karin (Google Cloud project hermes-karin) is a private assistant used only by the owner of GEM & TECH. It is not offered to the public, and no one else signs in to it.
Google user data the app accesses
Only the data the owner authorizes on the Google consent screen, from the owner's own account:
- Gmail messages: read, organize, draft and send.
- Google Drive, Docs and Sheets files: create, read and update.
- Google Contacts: read-only.
- YouTube: upload and schedule videos to the owner's channel.
How the data is used
The data is used only to carry out tasks the owner asks for, such as summarizing email, writing a report to Drive, or uploading a video the owner has approved. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Storage and sharing
- Access tokens and working files are stored on the owner's private server.
- Google user data is never sold or shared with third parties, with one exception, described in the next point.
- To complete a task the owner requested, the relevant content may be processed by the AI model provider the assistant runs on. The primary provider is Anthropic (Claude). The backup is zero-data-retention models via OpenCode Zen. Content is sent only for that task.
- No human other than the owner reads the data.
Limited Use
Karin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On request, the stored tokens and working files are deleted from the server.
